Terms of Purchase — Pocket Sense — Sensor Toolbox & Sound Meter
The short version
Pocket Sense is free to use. Pocket Sense Pro is an optional one-time purchase of $3 (or the local equivalent shown by Google Play at checkout). It is not a subscription — there is no recurring charge, ever. Pay once and Pro stays unlocked for the Google account that bought it.
What Pro includes
- Unlimited session recording and history (Free keeps the most recent 3 sessions)
- Session detail charts
- CSV export of recorded sessions
- Calibration profiles
- Advanced logging features
All seven measurement tools themselves — Sound, Light, Compass, Level, Vibration, Magnetic and GPS — are fully usable in the free version.
How the purchase works
- The purchase is made through Google Play and is tied to your Google account. Payment is processed by Google; we never see or store your payment details.
- Pro can be restored on any device signed in with the same Google account using the Restore button on the paywall.
- The exact price in your currency is the one Google Play shows before you confirm — it may differ slightly from $3 due to currency conversion and local taxes.
Refunds
Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. If you want a refund, request it through Google Play (Play Store → your account → Order history) or contact us at the address below and we will help. If a purchase is refunded, Pro access for that purchase ends.
The app itself
- Pocket Sense has no account and no server: everything runs on your device, the app holds no INTERNET permission, and your measurements, sessions and settings stay on your device. Our Privacy Policy explains this in detail.
- Readings come from your phone's sensors. They are useful estimates, not laboratory-grade measurements — phone hardware is not calibrated, and the app offers manual calibration offsets for that reason.
- The app is provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date. A change never turns the one-time Pro purchase into a subscription.
